Mimi and Todd Press is releasing this groundbreaking collaborative, Amplify Learner Voice through Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Assessment on January 10, 2023.
I am not one of the main 8 authors because I joined the project late in the game, but I had the privilege of being a contributor and a co-author on Chapter 2.
From Amazon:
The book's framework breaks down seven culturally responsive and sustainable concepts that will shift how educators and learners engage in core formative assessment practices.
Because of my association with Mimi &Todd Press, I was fortunate enough to connect with The Core Collaborative (TCC). As a result, I wrote a blog to share further thoughts about the issues we wrote about in Chapter Two of Amplify Learner Voice.
TCC is a network of education professionals with shared beliefs and expansive knowledge about how learning happens. They are dedicated to helping students learn how to address challenges with confidence, creativity, and competence, one collaboration at a time.
